Riding in Victoria

Posted: February 22nd, 2010 | Author: Thomas | Filed under: Training | No Comments »

We had amazing weather, plus temps and bone dry roads. The terrain in these parts is like nothing I have seen before. To summarize….”A ton of climbing”. The rain forest and ocean views are surreal. I caught myself  oohing and ahhing around every corner. What an awesome time. We topped 500+ km over the 4 days. It was a great get away with great riding and company.

Here is some GPS doodads:

Day 1 – Shawnigan Lake

Day 2 – Hilly Route / MillStream

Day 3 – Wheelers plus Observatory

Day 4 – Entire Galloping Goose

Winter wonder backroads adventure

This photo is near the start of a beautiful Sunday along some scenic backroads south of Calgary. Some great company with Craig, Erik and Ken on this wintery February morning made this one for the “Best Alberta CX Adventures” book.
